N8 Fail - Reasons Why the Nokia N8 Sucks, From what I’ve gathered thus far, the fault of the suck that is the N8 is laid at the feet of the software. This is obviously something that Nokia should have addressed, but in the meantime, have you considered trying to root it and install Android? From what I understand, the hardware and build quality of the N8 are still quite impressive. Furthermore, if and when Nokia gets Meego off the ground, I wouldn’t be surprised (read: pray for your sake) if the had Meego back ported to the N8.

MeeGo will *never* come to the N8. Look at the N810 - they refused to port the later versions of Maemo to that product. Look at the N95 - another flagship product which never got a decent firmware update. Or, try the N97 - again, no significant firmware updates, let alone fixes.
