N8 does NOT support SIM hot swap, that's why.

AnonymousUser Guide? Who reads those things. I expect my phone to just work. I don’t want to read chapter 7, subsection 59, paragraph 42 clause b - just to find out what I can and can’t do with a phone.
Here’s a tip, Nokia, rather than placing apologies in your user guide - why not just fix the software?
